Royal Enfield Genuine Motorcycle Accessories
The biggest motorcycle manufacturer in India, Royal Enfield were looking to create some content for their accessories. After a very extensive pitching process we were awarded the project and set out to shoot in Goa, the chilled out beachy state of India. The aim being to capture all seven motorcycles made by the manufacturer in their element along with all the accessories Royal Enfield makes for those specific motorcycles.
The seven motorcycles were the Classic, Bullet, Himalayan, Thunderbird, Thunderbird X, Interceptor and the Continental GT. Each of the bikes had a certain set of unique accessories that had to portrayed through a series of hero shots of the entirety of the motorcycle, candid, in moment shots and then product specific close-ups.
Considering it was March end, April, the weather in Goa was nearing peak summer. That meant, hot days and clear skies, so we decided to restrict our shoot times to 4 hours in the morning around sunrise and 4 hours in the evening around sunset. The project went on for 5 days due to the different kinds of motorcycles requiring different scenarios. We had to be able to cover the city element, the forest element, long rolling highways, arid terrain and beach vibes.
Along with a photoshoot of the accessories, the deliverables also required us to create a minute long video showcasing the exclusive Royal Enfield Touring seats with 3 different motorcycles and smaller videos for each genuine motorcycle accessory. A total of three teams were working in tandem and a variety or permutations and combinations ensured that each team got adequate time with every motorcycle at the respective locations to make sure all the content was created up to The Autofocus mark.
An added advantage to the project was that Royal Enfield has it’s own café and flagship store in Baga, Goa, so we had a good amount of support and could use the café as a location to photograph the Continental GT.
