BIC Official Media Partners

2018 has started off on a great note for us. India’s only F1 circuit, the Buddh International Circuit, currently retired from the calendar, made a deal with us at The Autofocus to become their official media partners for their track days and events.

The Buddh International Circuit is looking to revamp its media presence and hence signed us on to create content for them when it comes to internal track days, time trials, events and even private race days.

In its hay day, the race track was one of the fastest and most challenging tracks on the circuit calendar for F1 drivers. With a 1.06km back straight the BIC has one of the longest stretches of tarmac for any track. The track also rises 14 meters through out the 5.1km loop and consists of 2 hairpins, 2 chicanes and a double apex banked corner at the far side of the track.

Formula 1 debuted in 2011 for this track. It ran for three years before being taken off the race calendar in 2013. Sebastian Vettel won all three times the race was conducted and the fastest speed recorded on the speed trap was 325 km/h.

Currently the BIC hosts local events such as the Tata Prima Truck Racing Championship and Suzuki’s Gixxer Cup. Apart from these motor sporting events, the BIC opens itself up to time trial events to the public, where owners can bring in there own vehicles to run around the track for 40 minute sessions timing themselves to allow them to get better times on their laps.

As for us, we are just thrilled to be associated closely with the Buddh International Circuit as official media partners . We hope to create great content from everything that takes place at this ironic location over current year.
